BCBG Maz Azria SS 2013

Holy harnesses. I couldn't help noticing the dominant, sexy undertones in this collection. "50 Shades of Pretty" is what many people are calling this collection....which is pretty appropriate to me. The sex appeal was toned down with relatively un-sexy lengths on dresses and skirts. The color palette was filled with black, white and cream with little hints of coral. Very gorgeous for the spring time. The dresses were beautiful and very ethereal. One of my favorite looks was the lace-filled maxi dress paired with a leather trim blazer. Gorgeous. Definitely a look I would love to try! 

Alexander Wang SS 2013

This season, Alexander Wang experimented with shapes. Alexander Wang produced a futuristic collection full of sharp, skin baring cut outs, metallic bombers and dresses, and a lot of leather (something which is being shown a lot for the spring). Some things that caught my eye: the metallic sweater paired up with a croc skirt, the metallic silver cut out dress, and the big finale..... All of the clothes were glow in the dark. How.freaking.awesome. Alexander Wang has always been one of my favorite designers, and proved to be so again this season. He has a way of making sporty-clothing incredibly cool and sexy. Well done Alex! 

Christian Siriano SS 2013

I'm sure I am not the only one who was swept away by Christian Siriano's pastel-filled dream of a collection. The color palette is simply incredible. It was almost like an afternoon at the ballet, which is exactly what inspired Christian Siriano. You can see it all in the details- pearl encrusted bodices, feathers, a pink skater dress and of course the perfect ballerina bun. At the end of the show a sea of perfectly draped gowns came out. And the show stopper? Of course Christian Siriano's over the top, only can wear on the runway, gown. How gorgeous?! I expect nothing less from Siriano. Brilliant. 

Leather and Lace: Jason Wu

Ah, fashion week is amongst us again! When I opened up the Jason Wu page on style.com to see his SS 2013 collection, I was expecting a sea of lady like silouettes. Was I in for a surprise... For those who aren't familiar with Jason Wu, he frequently dresses Michelle Obama. Well, our First Lady will definitely not be wearing Jason Wu's SS 2013 designs. Leather and lace were often mixed together, as seen in the beautiful black leather dress with a lazer cut lace hem at the bottom.  There is one thing I absolutely love about this collection: There is still something lady like about this collection with a certain provocation to it. Another thing that caught my eye.... Those beautiful, but simple shoes. The beauty was also extraordinary. Simple, yet sexy. I love a beautiful red lip! Looks like leather and lace are here to stay for the Spring! 

Stripes+Burgundy

Just a little outfit post while I'm bored at work. Even though it is still August, I am starting to get into full Fall mode. Burgundy pants? I mean...can you get more "Fall" than that?
